Special and
Fund Raising Events
An
Evening of Elegance November Event
An Evening of
Elegance is our premier fund raiser which includes a Silent
Auction consisting of art work by the Children of Cottage Cove,
donated items and services from businesses, recording artists, etc.
The evening is a semi-formal event serving exotic desserts and
features musical entertainment, and a program focusing on the
children of Cottage Cove.
Christmas
with Dignity
Every year we have
a day before Christmas that we set aside for the parents and
guardians of the children who attend Cottage Cove. Brand new donated
items from bicycles to Barbie dolls are set up in a fashioned store
and can be purchased at extra low prices. We provide free
refreshments and free Christmas wrapping. This event came about after
seeing parents watch their children receive gifts from
strangers that they wished they were able to purchase. Thus,
the Dignity is restored to them as they now provide for
their own children. Parents and guardians are always told in advance
when this day will be held so that they can save for the event. This
is one of our most successful programs and has brought us closer to
the childrens families.
Sources of
Funding & Support
Donations
from individuals and families are our primary support (80%+)
Corporate
donations and churches
A few grants from foundations
Gifts-in-kind donations of materials and supplies

In 2006 we were
able to purchase the vacant property behind us for the purpose of
expanding our playground and recreational area!

Due to new booster
seat regulations and insurance concerns a mini-bus is our primary
focus for a new transport vehicle.
Evening

Weekly
Bible study for the whole family.
Beginning in the
summer of 2005 we have started a small Sunday fellowship which we
would like to see grow.
To
provide salaries and benefits to all full time staff.
To see the scope
and substance of our program increase will require additional full
time staff.
