A volunteer helping a parent shop for a bicycle and helmet.

The Cottage Cove Christmas store is a once-a-year event specially designed to help enable parents to provide a wonderful Christmas for their family.  This event is specifically for the parents and guardians of children who attend Cottage Cove plus other needy families in the communities we serve.

Imagine a store that has everything from bicycles and electronics to winter coats and board games. All these brand new donated items are set up in a fashioned store and can be purchased at incredibly low (cents-on-the-dollar) prices by the parents/guardians. There’s even free gift wrapping too!  Plus we have a host of friendly people who will help carry items for the shoppers, plus serve them free refreshments while they wait or shop.

This event came about after seeing parents watch their children receive “gifts from strangers” that they wish they were able to purchase. Thus, the “Dignity” is restored to them as they provide for their children. Parents/guardians are always told in advance what day this will be held so that they can save the little they need for the event. This is one of our most successful programs and has brought us closer to the children’s families.

Secure on-line Christmas with Dignity Giving is here:

We stretch your financial gifts to the maximum, with stores that give us extra discounts plus we purchase tax-exempt. All Christmas with Dignity gifts are tax-deductible and will be receipted via email or postal mail. Please provide your address through Paypal to assist us with this.

The Christmas Store is by invitation only. All participants are invited well prior either through their children’s involvement with Cottage Cove or through select community partnerships which enable us to be aware of families in need.  All participating have rsvp’d in advance and have been assigned a shopping time.

Watch the gauge

We need your help to make this possible – please consider shopping, or giving a designated financial gift, as well as sharing this need with your friends, church, and co-workers.  Don’t forget to keep this event in prayer!

And see how God meets the need this year!

If you are debating between a bunch of small toys or a larger item, go with the larger. Small items are what some families may be able to afford on occasion. Our dream is to provide a truly special Christmas!

Important News:

We had a helmet manufacturer sell us bicycle and skate board helmets well below cost!  So if you are purchasing a bicycle or skateboard, feel free to skip the helmet and invest more in the primary items (or help us to pay for the bulk load of helmets we ordered).
