Helping children to have an amazing Christmas morning by helping their parents to provide!
The Cottage Cove Christmas store is a once-a-year event specially designed to help enable parents to provide a wonderful Christmas for their family. This event is specifically for the parents and guardians of children who attend Cottage Cove plus other needy families in the communities we serve.
Imagine a store that has everything from scooters and electronics to winter coats and board games. All these brand new donated items are set up in a fashioned store and can be purchased at incredibly low (cents-on-the-dollar) prices by the parents/guardians. There’s even free gift wrapping too! Plus we have a host of friendly people who will help carry items for the shoppers, plus serve them free refreshments while they wait or shop.
This event came about after seeing parents watch their children receive “gifts from strangers” that they wish they were able to purchase. Thus, the “Dignity” is restored to them as they provide for their children. Parents/guardians are always told in advance what day this will be held so that they can save the little they need for the event. This is one of our most successful programs and has brought us closer to the children’s families.
The Christmas Store is by invitation only. All participants are invited well prior either through their children’s involvement with Cottage Cove or through select community partnerships which enable us to be aware of families in need. All participating have rsvp’d in advance and have been assigned a shopping time.

December 9 – Christmas Store Day!
Six Shifts of Volunteers (Wrapping, Carrying, Table staff, Hospitality, Takedown, etc.): 8 am-10:15, 10-12:15, 12-2:15, 2-4:15, 4-6, 5-7 pm
December 8 – Store Setup Day!
Setup, Decoration, Assembly 6 pm – 10 pm (Come for an hour or until done)
December 4-8 – Pre-Setup
Sorting, Assembly, Packaging, Pre-Wrapping, Moving Boxes 9:30 am – 5:30 pm (Set up a time for an hour or more on any one day or multiple days!)
December 7 (or earlier) – Designated Financial Gifts (and we do the shopping for you!)
November 27 – December 7 – Gift items, toys, electronics, and coats dropped off.
